Build 1 - "Suz-Style"

Build 1 has been a wonderful trip - I've learned much and have code and tags swimming around in my head big time. CSS is rather new to me, and I wonder about keeping things "in order" - seems sort of messy, and lack of order for me is puzzling - okay, it's befuddling! Perhaps there is/will be order as we continue with these lessons. In any case, thanks for a thoroughly wonderful course, Deb - I shall highly recommend this one!

My Assignments

I had a lot of fun creating the following pages, so want to share them:

     enumeration dot  Lesson 2 Assignment

     enumeration dot  Lesson 3 Assignment

     enumeration dot  Lesson 4 Assignment

     enumeration dot  Lesson 5 Assignment

Some of My Favorite Links

We've learned about some pretty terrific places in this course - websites that can help us validate code as well as check the weight of pages, and even help us choose colors. Here are some of my favorite places:

     enumeration dot  W3C XHTML validator - a now-favorite place!

enumeration dot  Dummy Text Generator "Lorem Ipsumn" - who doesn't enjoy all that Latin!

enumeration dot  The W3C link checker - very useful in place, especially when a page has many links!

enumeration dot  Background color checker - I like this site, and the way it changes the page's background when you choose a color

enumeration dot  Working with complementary colors - I like the way this site gives you a number of colors that will "work well" with the color you choose.

enumeration dot  W3C CSS validator - this one took some getting used to, but it's a place I go to all the time now!

enumeration dot  Windows fonts - very handy list of fonts present on most windows systems.

enumeration dot  HTML special characters - cool list of many special characters that can be typed in the "&" format.

enumeration dot  Web page analyzer - a neat site that analyzes the "weight" of your page, and returns information about the components of your page, their download speed and size, and even provides recommendations about your html and images.

These are some of my favorites - I've bookmarked all of them, and plan to visit them often! In fact, I shall visit one of them immediately!
