My LVS Online Homework Pages
These are my pages created for homework assignments from the Building Web Sites I class taken at LVS Online
Lesson One
In Lesson One, we learned about the background of HTML, XHTML, AND CSS. We also covered the basics such as getting our sites set up, browser choices and creating a template page with the essential components that all future web pages we create will need. Most importantly, we learned how to validate our XHTML.
Lesson Two
Lesson Two concentrated on expanding our knowledge of essential XHTML. We learned about the different kinds of links and how to code them. Adding color to our pages and fonts via basic CSS and how to validate our CSS was also covered.
Lesson Three
Lesson Three covered essential CSS concepts in more depth. Font choice and styling was discussed in-depth. We learned when and why to use each of the different types of CSS.
Lesson Four
Lesson Four introduced the addition of graphics to our pages. We learned about ways to keep our page size down through image optimization. Using images as links and backgrounds rounded out the lesson.
Lesson Five
Lesson Five brought us to classes, divs & spans. The proper use of tables was discussed and we were shown how to lay out our pages without them. We also learned how to create thumbnails.
Lesson Six
In Lesson Six, we covered special formatting coding and meta tags. We were given great tips on organizing our directories and setting up our index pages.
