The perfect golf swing consists of a number of elements all of which must be carried out as correctly as possible.
The important elements are: Grip, Aim, Stance and Posture.
The way you grip the club is very important as it determines the way the clubhead returns to the ball.
When you grip the club, the V's formed on each hand by the thumb and first finger should point at your
right shoulder (for a right handed player).
The clubface must be aimed squarely at the target. It is very important that the player aims the grooves
on the clubhead carefully. If necessary, put a club on the ground with the shaft pointing directly along
the target line and check that the grooves on the clubface are at right angles to this shaft.
You must stand with your feet approximately shoulder width apart and with your shoulders, hips, knees
and feet all parallel to the target line.
Stand tall to the ball with your weight on the balls of your feet. Bend from the hips with your back as straight as possible.
Feel athletic - as though you are a goalkeeper about to face a penalty
Remember that all the above is carried out when you are stationary and is therefore
possible for all players to do. Do it carefully and consistently and you will soon become a better golfer
