When you are clued up about the pros and cons of different browsers, picking which to use in a given situation becomes a necessary skill. Most internet users never try a new web browser, instead they rely on the software that came with their Operating System. There are three browsers I have used and tested to my satisfaction and they are FireFox, Flock and Safari.
Firefox is reported to be the fastest browser when it comes to download speed. Not only do programs and files download faster, but you get a record of all your downloads, so you can delete or move them at your convenience. Firefox has advanced security features that protect your computer from spyware and certain viruses. It also has a state-of the art popup blocker that stops almost 100 percent of popups.firefox has tabbed browsing which allows you to open an unlimited number of pages in a single window. Firefox's main disadvantage is compatibility. Some websites do not show properly and require you to view them with INTERNET EXPLORER.
Flock is built on Firefox and is designed to make interfacing with social networking sites very easy.It loads pages well and regular Firefox extensions work, too. There are nine buttons at the top of the sidebar that make accessing any of your social networking or frequently used Web sites easy. Each button helps you get your message out faster or helps you read your friends messages quicker.Flock is the way to go if Facebooking or YouTubing is how you spend most of your time. When Flock is updated, the previous version is uninstalled. If Flock is not default, default will go to INTERNET EXPLORER, no matter what it was before. If Firefox is default and if Flock is updated, one must go back to reestablish default.
Safari has stretchable form fields, test boxes can be resized - this is great for editing certain fields. It has a built-in PDF viewer and a built-in RSS reader. One can email a web page or turn off Flash. You can't change the built-in search engine from Google. You can't remove the Google search field from the Toolbar because it's connected to the Address field. You can't initiate a page search with aforward slash. You can't set it up to automatically delete cookies on exit. One can not participate in Safari discussion groups via email or other standard messaging protocol.
