And The Story Begins....
Newly divorced, she had no intentions of dating ever again. She had always loved to dance and it was something, among many,many other things, her ex wouldn't participate in. So when a friend told her about a studio where group lessons are drop in, and there's a practice party after the lesson, she thought she'd give it a try. What a hoot! Everybody was really nice and friendly, and she picked up on the steps really easily. Different men asked her to dance, even though she was a beginner, and the mixers were a lot of fun - where the men line up on one side and the ladies on another - and the man gets a lady partner and dances her around and drops her at the end of the line and then gets another lady to spin around the floor. It's a great way to practice with lots of people. She went home happy and relaxed and soooooo-o-o-o glad she was divorced.
So when next Friday came around, she took herself out ballroom dancing, planning to have as much fun as before. She arrived about 10 minutes early for the drop-in lesson, so she amused herself by people watching and when he came through the door, she saw him. She thought to herself, well then, there's one more man. As evidenced by her first effort ballroom dancing, there are always more women than men. Why is that, she wondered? Probably something to do with the sissy factor.....She enjoyed the beginning mambo lesson, where she noticed him again. However she was paired up with an elderly gentleman throughout the entire lesson and never actually danced with him. After the lesson, there was the practice party and the first dance was a waltz, and then there was the foxtrot mixer. That's when it happened.
