Many things helped me decide that it was the right time to take this and all the subsequent classes I needed at LVS. My grandson was old enough to go to a daycare for a few days a week. My sister in law has a small daycare business in her home and Jonah just loves her! Besides Grandma needs a break! hehe A break to learn what I needed to start the business I desperately desired to start. So here I am. Taking the first class I need at LVS to get started on the biggest adventure of my life. Owning my own business at the age of 49. Failure is not an option because my dream is a great opportunity, and jewelry, all kinds of jewelry, for all kinds of people is what I love. There are tons of jewelry sites on the internet today. From artisan jewelry, to native american jewelry, auction sites that sell jewelry, big name jewelry sites like Jared, Neiman Marcus and others. So to start a successful jewelry business today your have to have more going for your business than any of the others. I have searched the internet world for months to find the right combination of jewelry designs to make my business the most successful it can be. Making my own jewelry is another dream of mine but an initial investment of 10,ooo dollars just to buy a few main supplies is cost prohibitive at the moment. With my profits from selling main stream jewelry I can afford to start investing in jewelry supply products and add my artisan jewelry to my mainstream jewelry site.
Taking this class for the third time really opened my eyes. I finally get it. Reading the lesson over and over and taking deliberate notes. I found a connection that I never knew was there. Xhtml is the structure of your webpage and CSS is the beautiful curtains, type of carpet, room layout, steel roof shingles vs. heritage shingles and architectural style. So if Xhtml is the DNA structure, then CSS is the form, human, animal, plant. Thanks Deb I get it now. Sometimes you have to hit me over the head with a hammer! lol
These are the structural elements in Xhtml.
doc type declaration
html tag
name space declaration,
head tags
title tag
content type and encoding declaration
body tag.
These seven structural elements are the foundation of your page. Each and every one is important and you will recieve an error in the W3C validation process if you are missing any of them.
Block level tags are used to structure the content of your page. There are three block level tags
the heading tags or chapter titles to introduce what your content is about
the paragraph tag is where your text goes
and the hr tag which creates a line across your entire page.
There are three inline tags that may be nested within a block level tag.
They must never be used alone but only within a block level tag.
em tag has replaced the italicized tag
the strong tag has replaced the bold tag
and the break tag.
