GRYPHONS

TheGryphonis part eagle and lion. A symbol of courage, boldness, fearlessness, nobility and strength. Known as he "King of the Beasts"and theKingof the sky. It truly represents the best and truest qualities of both of these noble animals.

They have been used as symbols for a very long time. The Middle East, were the ones that endowed them with ears similar to a cat or horse. In addition, it is a symbol known through many cultures. It has also been represented in many movies including the Harry Potter franchise, and The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.

Some interesting tidbits about the Gryphon. It is supposed to eat horses, but the hypogriff was the offspring of a horse and Gryphon. Also, it is reported to be very territorial.
